1999 10 year reunion a success!!! (AND PICTURES)

The class of 1999 met together as classmates and friends on Saturday Aug 1st 2009!

Everyone met first at a local park and enjoyed many activities for all of the darling children of the classmates. The kids carnival included: jump house, cake walk, face painting, ring toss, fish pond, water jump house, snow cones, cotton candy, cookies, drinks and lots of wonderful reuniting with old friends. It was a great turn out...just not enough time to visit everyone.

That evening...we ate a delicious dinner catered by USU up in the USU sunburst lounge. Tables were decorated with yellow and blue memorabilia. SV spirit was all around!! It was fun to see all of the old panoramic pictures through out the years. Many people came to the dinner that weren't at the carnival. Everyone cleaned up real well in their business casual. We watched a video that covered all of the sports and activities through out the high school years. Finally at the end we took a huge class picture (very hard to get everyone to fit) and the mingling ended the great night. It was great to see everyone from the past!!!

Many were unable to attend....but MANY drove and flew from all over just for it.

A poll was taken for when to do another one.....10 more years over powdered 5.

Great times!! Thanks to all that made it happen! Thanks for all that supported!

ATTENTION ALL CLASSMATES:

If you are planning on attending the 10 year reunion, you will HAVE to RSVP and pay for the dinner before hand. If you for some reason didn't hear about it and would like to come, please call Katie to save you a spot 435-760-6017. We only have so many seats available so PLEASE don't just show up without arranging a dinner. (That would be really awkward). The dinner will be help in the Sunburst lounge of the USU student center. There is another event in the student center that night so if you get there and there is a bunch of old people... you are not in the right place. We aren't old YET!

IF YOU HAVE ANY FUN PICTURES THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO BRING, WE WILL HAVE A TABLE OF PICTURES. PLEASE WRITE YOUR NAME ON THE BACK SO THAT WE CAN GET THE PICTURE BACK TO YOU.

August 1st is coming quick!

The fish pond is it then, not many comments....so I guess you will be happy with whatever.

Hope that you are spreading the word about the reunion on August 1st. It's coming fast!! Since there was no five year reunion, it is harder to find where everyone is in the world after ten years. Please contact all of your friends about the website (skyview1999.com) to get your mailing address into the system (for now and for years to come.) Marci will be mailing out reunion invites.

Please RSVP as soon as possible. The word is spreading, but slowly.

The ten year reunion is going to have a day activity and a evening dinner. The day activity is going to be a "Carnival theme". Marcie is wondering about ideas of what you would like to do during that time. She is looking into renting bouncy houses. Melissa is going to do snow cones. What other booths would you think you and your kids would have fun doing.....

Attention SkyView99ers!

We are so excited to finally have one place to find everyone in our graduating class. We have created a website just for the Skyview99ers at www.Skyview1999.com. This website will make it easy for us to keep track of the 568 in our graduating class! Please create an account and update your contact information. This will be the best way to find out about things that we will be doing throughout the next 10 years. Once you create an account, we will have to verify that you are a classmate before you can access the site. This protects all of us so please allow 24 hours for approval.

Our 10 year reunion is scheduled for August 1st. Details about the reunion are on the new website. We do need some volunteers to help to be on the reunion committee. 1999-2009!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 99ers!!!! This is the year 2009....(can you believe it)...10 years for us pals. We are getting stinkin' old! Ten years ago this May we walked across a stage and said our goodbyes to all of our great firends. Hopefully we have stayed in touch with some of the best, otherwise this is what the blog is all about...reconnection. Thank you for spreading the word and getting people to sign the guest book. It is always so fun to see where you all have ended up. Keep the word going. Word (IS) on the street for a reunion...keep posted and I should have info soon. Thanks again 99ers!!
